Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Romera Serve ("Serve", "we", "us") at romeraserve.com and related applications. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Romera Serve is a technology marketplace operated by Romera ("Romera"). We connect clients with independent service providers and property listers in Nigeria. Romera Serve is an intermediary — we are not the employer of vendors and we do not guarantee the outcome of any service or property transaction.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract under Nigerian law. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.

3. Accounts & roles

• Clients may browse, book services, send inquiries, message vendors, and pay through approved checkout flows.
• Vendors / partners may list services or properties subject to verification, moderation, and separate vendor terms.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts to evade suspensions, reviews, or fees.

4. Bookings & payments

Service bookings are contracts between you and the vendor. Listed prices, duration, and inclusions are set by the vendor. Payments processed via Paystack are subject to Paystack's terms as well as our refund policy.

You agree not to circumvent Serve by soliciting off-platform payment where in-app checkout or documented inquiry flows are provided. Messages and booking notes are monitored for fraud patterns.

5. Property inquiries

Property listings may be posted by landlords or agency agents. Listers must accurately disclose their representation. Serve records inquiries but does not act as an estate agent, escrow holder, or guarantor of title.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Serve to:

• Post illegal, misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent content
• Harass users, manipulate reviews, or impersonate others
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems
• Violate the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) or other applicable law

7. Moderation & suspension

We may delay publication, flag, hide, or remove listings and messages pending review. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms or pose a safety or legal risk.

8. Disclaimers & liability

Serve is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Romera disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from your use of Serve is limited to the fees you paid to Romera in the three months preceding the claim, except where prohibited by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall first be addressed through our support channels; unresolved disputes may be submitted to competent courts in Lagos State unless mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise.
